Why Should I Choose Chiropractic?

The human body was created to be self-regulated and self-healing. Your brain sends signals through your nervous system which controls every single cell, tissue, and organ in your body. The spine contains the nervous system, also known as the spinal cord. When the spine is misaligned, or has a subluxation, that indicates there is stress present in the nervous system. In turn, this stress causes nerve interference which then often causes dysfunction in the body.

But how does the spine become misaligned?

Misalignment occurs because of stress, which comes from any of "the three T's": Thoughts, Trauma, and Toxins. Had a hard day at work? Struggling with negative thinking? Did you get rear-ended on your way home today? Did your child get tackled at football practice? All of these are forms of stress on the body.

Invigorate Chiropractic is a neurologically based chiropractic office because we focus on and adjust your nerves. When there is a subluxation present in the spine, the nerve frequency is interfered and over time can lead to dysfunction in the body.

Dr. Kevin uses Torque Release Technique (TRT) to get down to the true root of the cause of dysfunction by adjusting the nerve itself.

By re-setting the nerve frequency, proper function is restored. Proper function can result in less back or neck pain, decreased headaches, and reduce occurrences of ear infections and bedwetting, among countless other issues.

A Christian View

Invigorate Chiropractic believes that God created us as whole and perfect in His eyes. "For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb" Psalm 139:13. He gave us lungs to breathe, eyes to see, a heart to keep us alive. God is our Creator. He gave us brains to serve as control centers for our body. Our brain sends out signals through our nervous system to every organ, cell, and tissue in the body. The brain tells the heart to beat, the stomach to digest, your muscles to move. But, the brain needs a healthy nervous system to get these signals out to the body. The nervous system is contained in the spinal cord and the bones around the spinal cord to protect it are what we call the spine. The spine is made up of 33 bones. When even just one of these bones is out of alignment, it can put pressure on that part of the spinal cord, causing inflammation to occur at that spot and block the signal from getting through to the body part that needs it. This is called a subluxation. Subluxations are caused by three things: Thoughts, Trauma, and Toxins. Over time, as stress builds in the body, pain or dysfunction of the body can occur. However, PAIN IS OFTEN THE LAST SYMPTOM TO SHOW.

"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God with your body."

-1 Corinthians 6: 19-20

God created us perfectly. He gave us everything we need for our bodies to self-regulate: hormones to help us sleep (melatonin), be happy (dopamine), and regulate blood sugar (insulin), among countless others; a strong immune system to fight off disease; a pumping circulatory system to give us the oxygen we need; the list is endless! Being adjusted by a chiropractor allows signals to flow from the brain through the nervous system with less interference to the body part it is communicating with. This allows for a decrease in pain, inflammation, disease, and the need for unnecessary medications!

We are temples for the Holy Spirit; God lives within us. We are to keep our bodies pure, healthy, and holy. Regular chiropractic care leads to a healthier YOU, which is just one of the ways to keep your body a temple for the Holy Spirit!
